- hahaha ok i'm sorry this just seems silly to me.. a press release to say that your stuff works with athlon 64. um.. haha i dunno. feels like the equivalent of me saying "i announce that my pc case is compatible with athlon 64!" .. well no kidding!

- Well before you get your panties in a bunch Nvidia does the same thing. The "The way its meant to be played" thing is BS too.

- 64-bit drivers for what 64-bit version of Windows?
Isn't it obvious that if the AMD64 Windows version is released that any major hardware manufacturer will offer 64-bit drivers?
This announcement is only PR manipulation and nothing else...

- Actually it's a good thing, some may call PR bull****, but if major companies just camp the wait and see attitude it won't be good for AMD64. Sure competition is already on track. But what if you get windows XP64 (for amd indeed) and are completely unable to at least watch a damn movie because video acceleration sucks big time ?

(ps : for those interessted go Check www.aceshardware.com it seems that Windows XP 32 bit will be no more when XP 64bit is ready (assumption from me not the article), the speed penalty is so small using 32 bits apps that going full 64 will be not actually a bad idea
)
