MSN this week updated it's MSN 9 beta client to build 9.00.0009.1802 combined with a MSN Messenger 6.1 update to build 6.1.0128.
From a visible point of view not much has changed to Messenger 6.1 but MSN 9 has had minor changes in places such as E-mail. Users now have the ability to read their email in a "preview pane" and are able to add pop-3 accounts to the mail area of MSN 9.
Messenger plus! is still working correctly with build 128 of Messenger 6.1, however the new promised features and games are still absent. If you're currently on the MSN Beta you can download the new build by using the old installer, it will notify you that there is a new installer and then proceed to download the various updated components :)

Simply sickening :(

Now a leaked version of that MSN Messenger would be cool though, lol.
But I'm tired of being harassed by people who brand me as an internet newbie for using an online service. Not that I feel the need to prove otherwise, but I've used the internet for over 8 years in it's various incarnations, including Gopher back in the day, and I use Opera as my second browser for when I want to quickly look something up.
And yet, after all my web experience, I'm using MSN, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone wanting a better online experience.
If people really think about it, it is obvious that MS stopped giving the browser away for free, and added it and some other cool features, as part of it's MSN service, just so that people actually would use it.
I highly doubt people would use MSN service if it didn't include those apps and features and was still just the same old crappy internet service as it always has been.
I'm tired of reading your posts based on nothing but 100% speculation.
And for your information, it's not so much an internet service provider now as it is a BYOA (Bring Your Own Access) service.
And btw..i get a free subscription to it through my ISP

i wouldnt release an un-tested program! lol
that a virus protecting - that says coming soon
and a firwall that also says coming soon.............. any of u guys get this
1) Multiple windows are not grouped together in one main frame.
2) Annoyance of web-page format services for things like Settings, Mail, organizing favorites, etc.
3) MSN People & Chat receives no attention and has no special premium software to make things run more streamlined.
4) Illogical methods of menu bar items. I.E. - 'Feeback' menu? Cluttered 'View' menu. 'Edit' menu could be 'more useful everyday' with Undo, Redo, Spell Check, Translator, Theasarus.
5) Search Box item for Dashboard should be added. It'd give you the option for searing the entire Microsoft Network from web search, to mail search, to recipe finder, to maps, tv listings, movie times, etc.
6) MSN.com seriously needs a more stream-lined designed. My MSN needs to acutally be useful and add Mail Headers and other Hotmail info instead of generic Communication links.
5) Cannot easily send an new IM to people not in the contact list.
6) Cannot easily show the dashboard with a mouseover when currently closed. That'd be more convenient.
7) Sign in is clunky. Simplify it.
Basically, MSN Explorer is just full of links to MSN content you can access through links with Internet Explorer. That's not very useful at all. How about actually software-versions of its site for People & Chat, Money, Encarta, etc?
I have a screenshot of an MSN 9 client i made myself that brings my vision into a JPG. If you wanna see it, e-mail/MSN IM me at scuba_steve83@msn.com
