If you don't have one of those, you should really update anyway (To SP7 if using 9x / NT4)
If you're using Outlook 97, 98 or Access 97 then you're using Jet 3.51 and should get Je 3.51 SP3.
As for MDAC, I would recommend that everyone update to MDAC 2.7 SP1.. I've had problems with MDAC 2.8.
MDAC is essentially a driver update, telling the system how to use database connections using Open standards.
