In the trademark case, the owner of the name "Bourse des vols" (Market for Flights), an Internet travel agent, wanted Google to stop allowing competitors to include "Bourse des vols" as a term that would generate an advertisement and link to their own site that Internet searchers could click on.

Google had refused, arguing its French arm was not responsible, that the term bourse des vols was not protected by a valid trademark and that the issue was technological and could not be resolved.

But the court found for the plaintiff on all three issues, said Fabrice Dariot, who owns the trademark to "Bourse des Vols" and sued Google. Dariot said that while the fine was small, the decision could be important.

"It was as though the Internet and the real world were two different worlds, but this ruling shows that there is only one world," he said in an interview. "It shows that the Internet will have to respect intellectual property rights."

The result of the decision would be that any time the term "Bourse des Vols" was typed in, only ads for that specific site could be posted with the search results, Dariot said.

As long as you are running a non-FX level card, then that is probably not a problem.

But I have a Quadro FX 2000 and I am still waiting on a full official driver release, so these new versions are wonderful.

I just installed these drivers, and they seem pretty good. I went from the 45.23 to 52.16 dets, and got a little over 1000 more 3D Marks! Either these drivers are really sweet, or I got really lucky!

This may be a silly question but how can these be a 22meg download when about all previous betas and WHQL drivers have been holding right around 10megs? Are they padding them with ads inside txt and nfo files or just using a very light compression?
#7.1 Static_XP on 20 Oct 2003 - 21:33
Nevermind, I kinda answered my own question about the sizing of the file. I still can't see that much of a difference between these and 52.14 to be 10 megs worth. same quality that I can tell inside medal of honor with these.

Passssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
Betaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
I'll wait til they show up on Nvidia's site, at least they will be legit.
I don't have time to beta test Nvidia's drivers. That's what you youngin's
are for
When you guys get down, then Nvidia will release them......

These Detz are ok, but trying to OC my card using the usual settings i had grief.

Went back to 52.13 dets, these are great and stable and OC friendly.

naap51stang, i aint no kiddy either. I just find beta dets to be better for my card. Once i find a great set, i stick to em. One of the more important issues with beta dets for me is that Macrovision is disabled so therefore i can view all my DVD and movies via the TV out using any program such as Powerdvd or WMP.

Otherwise, i find em faster and stable as can be.

Anyhoos, back to my workout.

Nvidia's 52.16 drivers suck! They screwed up my access to windows' control panel, they incremented temperature of the gpu in 10-15 degrees (celsius) and they started throwing an error I never had before about the card not having enough power to run - going into a safer mode blah blah blah.

I had to go back to v 45.23. Too bad since they were supposed to be a major boost for fxcards.

system specs:
MSI Kt6delta mobo via chipset driver 1449
Athlon XP 2800
1 ghz ddr ram 400mhz
PNY verto geforce fx 5900 ultra 256 mb
Windows 2k pro sp4

Is anyone else having these "sucky drivers" problem?
