Testers of Windows Update 4 have been notified this evening that a new ISO image of the Windows Security Update CD has been posted to Betaplace.com

In an email to current testers, the Windows Update Beta team thanked all its current testers and issued this new ISO version to them. The new version includes minor fixes from relevant bugs that testers have filed. The email ended with a simple "We're almost there...".

Windows Security Update CD is expected to ship at the beginning of December 2003.

CHM documentation - searchable and comes with an index
User variables ($VARNAME) that can be declared with the Var command
Support for all pages in both installer and uninstaller. Components, directory and license pages can be used for the uninstaller
Improved large files handling (way lower requirements to compile a 2GB installer now)

#6 Posted by kiddingguy on 20 Nov 2003 - 09:43: it's a nice solution when reinstalling windows xp. you just have to download one package of updates, burn it onto cd and you're set. without running the annoying WU over and over again

Guess MS is taking customer service and making it the customer convenient to another level
