Mine didn't AutoUpdate so I just re-ran the installer, it saw that it needed to update right away.

I just ran the installer also. It upgraded from 10.1601 to 11.1200 (finally!). Sadly, it keeps crashing on me at startup.

#6.2 ben_b on 25 Nov 2003 - 01:07
He is asking is it 9.00.0011.0200 without the period or 9.00.0011.0200., with the period?
#6.3 ec4912 on 25 Nov 2003 - 12:16
Huh? Well, in that case, it's neither.

SO what are the changes...what's the Email Designer ? did they just give a name to the Mail client?...That's all ? ....a joke?
#7.1 Avenger on 24 Nov 2003 - 20:42
The mail client already has a name. "MSN Mail" works for me.
#7.2 ben_b on 25 Nov 2003 - 01:25
First of all may I ask where you come up with Email Designer? Secondly here is a little information about Designer Mail... anyone can find out about MSN 9 if they look hard enough

Designer Mail

  • Share photos
Share a single photo or an entire slide show right inside your e-mail. The slide show shows up as a series of photos in the body of your message, not as attachments.
  • Photo previews
Send convenient photo previews, which allow your friends and family to see the slide show in compressed form, regardless of which e-mail program they're using.
  • View, download or print
Invite friends and family to view your slide show at an automatically generated Web site, download the images for printing, or order prints online.
  • Customize the show
Add unique fonts and graphics to enhance the show.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!OK I FOUND IT IN " EMAIL OPTIONS" you can download enhanced email !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#8.1 ec4912 on 24 Nov 2003 - 18:48
I'm not sure what they mean by "Enhanced E-mail", I did check that option when installing, but I don't see any difference.
(1 reply) #9 Krankerz on 24 Nov 2003 - 18:10
For some reason I can't install this. When it asks for my e-mail address, it autofilled it out with my POP3 address and greyed it out (I can't modify it). Then I enter my password and click next, and it says I must only enter a MSN or Hotmail address, which is something new to me. This is the first update that wouldn't install for me. Also, what is enhanced e-mail?
#9.1 ben_b on 25 Nov 2003 - 01:50
If you are a official beta tester, and I here by hop you are I don't support warez, post about it in the news group we don't need to be helping the people that use warez get it to work.

#12 ben_b on 25 Nov 2003 - 01:32
"For clarity we show zero tolerance for spam, advertising, useless and off topic comments, raising post count, warez (links) & cracks and aiding this; requests or posts that discuss circumvention of protection mechanisms, racism, threatening (citing), victimization or hateful posts that incite flaming or similar, & bypassing our word filter. "

It's not warez. Non-beta users still must have a paid MSN account.
#13.1 ben_b on 26 Nov 2003 - 15:14
"/weirz/ A term used by software pirates use to describe a cracked game or application that is made available to the Internet, usually via FTP or telnet, often the pirate will make use of a site with lax security.

Software piracy is illegal and should be reported to the Federation Against Software Theft (FAST)."

Sounds to me like a stolen copy of MSN 9.
#13.2 plasticparadox on 26 Nov 2003 - 15:49
It's neither cracked nor stolen. And do you honestly think Microsoft cares? What are they going to do; cancel a paying member's account for using a beta?
#14 BGuillaume on 25 Nov 2003 - 13:27
The best part of this release remains MCAfee Activation
