VIA Hyperion drivers are suitable for any VIA chipset and all Microsoft Windows Operating Systems (Win95/98/98SE). If you are looking for VIA 4in1 drivers, these are the drivers you are looking for. The "Hyperion" name was added to the 4in1 driver set name in December 2002. Users with hybrid chipsets (with a VIA southbridge and AMD northbridge for example) should obtain drivers from their motherboard manufacturer.

Whats New:
  • Fixed the issue of the Delayed Write Failed only for special condition.

Note: Please install 4in1 4.51 on safe mode if the issue happened.

“Fast forward to the second half of 2003. Lake Bluff, Ill.-based BFG Technologies, Inc. announces that the Boomslang is back...for real this time. You know BFG as the folks who produce the Asylum line of NVIDIA- based video cards. As a company that prides itself on making products for the gamer, bringing back the Boomslang seemed like a logical expansion of its product line. Dubbed the Sniper Boomslang 2100, the latest revision of this mouse is geared for the gamer who demands absolute precision, especially in first-person shooter titles."

NextBase MDV1 Small Form Factor DVD Player Review @Tweaknews.net
"Not only was the player physically robust, but its feature list would go toe to toe with any normal DVD player on the market. As stated earlier, the visual and audio quality were flawless and you would never tell the difference when compared to the bigger alternative."

"Following on from the Direct X 9.0 3DMark 03, I used my personal favourite test: Aquamark 3. Although the games based on the engine were not very successful, I think that the benchmark is very impressive. Happily I can say that both boards got the exact same score in this test! Good work from the DFI Lanparty. "

Man, after screwing up my PC last week I think I'll steer way clear of these!

No kidding. I had to reformat my PC because I couldn't log in to my PC. Safe mode or not. Luckily I could slave my HDD and backup the contents onto another PC. Weirdly enough, after the format, I installed these drivers (I always install VIA drivers before ANYTHING when I reformat) and they work great now. Must have been a serious driver or IRQ conflict in the past.

This news was released on warp2search yesterday...

"Via has removed their Hyperion 4.50 driver that was released some days ago from download page. A possible reason could be an error when the ATI control center is installed that deletes the whole filesystem !!!

An official statement from VIA is not present at the moment.

Latest stable version is Hyperion 4.49p"

My Windows XP install was trashed last week by 4.50, luckily I was able to do what Krankerz did, slaved my HD, copied my data to my system backup HD (not kept in my machine), then formatted and used Norton Ghost to clone my backup. A lot of work-Thanks Via!

**** that ****, i'll pass on these... i just got my system running again after the 4.50 ones.. dunno if its just a wierd coincidence or what, but right after the problem started with the 4.50 drivers, my second HDD completly died, now its absolutly useless.

you know what is odd, I installed these and everything was fine I saw no issues.

Then I noticed my computer running hotter, and other odd things. Then my motherboard just died and I had to buy a new one. Everything else is fine, I am not sure if this may have been the cause.

Obviously nobody here read the whole article at the Inq. so I'll sum it up. The issue w/ the 4.50's was if you had 1GB or more of RAM and an ATI Graphics Cards w/ the AGP Apeture set to greater than 32MB. For those of you who'll surely reply to this saying you don't fufill those circumstances and they still FUBAR'd your system, well, learn to properly install, unistall drivers I guess. Same **** w/ peeps saying beta NVidia drivers cause BSOD's...no they don't, but if you'd take the time to properly uninstall the old ones first maybe you wouldn't see those problems. I don't have 1GB of RAM, nor an ATI card, and the 4.50's have been rock solid over here for days...
