As we reported yesterday, Terratec has left the graphic business because of the pressure. And now it seems that Singapore giant Creative Labs is also feeling miffed, at least with one vendor of graphic card chips. We understand that Creative won't use ATI technology - at least not this generation - or as a source told us it wants to "wind down their ATI business".
We don't know what broke up the marriage, but it's obvious that Creative Labs is unhappy with the current arrangement. Creative will continue to support its current customers that have already bought cards and will supply product for as long as it necessary. But as soon as ATI has fulfilled some contractual arrangements, Creative will just shut its ATI business down, we understand. Creative Labs has promised us a detailed explanation this coming Monday.

Gran Turismo 4 Prologue (PS2)
This budget-priced preview version of the much-delayed Gran Turismo 4 was originally a Japan-only title but multiple delays of GT4 proper have forced Sony's hand into releasing Prologue across PAL territories. The demo features 46 driving tests and 64 different cars, along with a bonus disc that features a 'Making of GT4' movie and a message from GT creator Kazunori Yamauchi. Ooooo.
Hyper Street Fighter II: The Anniversary Edition (PS2)
The Street Fighter series is the best collection of 2D beat-'em-ups of all time and this compilation features every Street Fighter II character, move and combo in one huge fight-fest. And at just £19.99, it's an absolute steal.
Red Dead Revolver (PS2, Xbox)
A thrilling escape into wild west third-person rootin' tootin' shootin' fun. It's been a long time coming, having been taken on by Rockstar after Capcom shelved the title, but it's been worth the wait. Oh yes.
Disgaea: Hour of Darkness (PS2)
A strategy RPG (think Final Fantasy Tactics) that probably isn't for those who aren't already fans of the genre but a fine title for anyone who is. Seeing as it's very Japanese in flavour and full of humour, fans may be able to forgive it for not being the most beautiful of beasts.
Smash Court Tennis 2: Pro Tournament (PS2)
This series has produced some cracking racquetainment and this instalment delivers where it should. Above all, you just can't beat a spot of four-player tennis. Those disposed to sports titles should give this a good look.
Harry Potter: Prisoner of Azkaban (PS2, Xbox, Gamecube, PC, GBA)
The latest action-adventure romp in the Harry Potter series allows you to play as Ron and Hermione for the first time. Of course, you still get to be Harry as well as using the specialised skills of the other two teenage tricksters. The PS2 version is the pick of the bunch thanks to its EyeToy compatibility.

ATI ROCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111111111111111111111111111111111111 </noobness>
During the GF4 era Asia noticed that Creative Europe were getting preffered prices on NV parts when they weren't - Creative have one of the best distribution capabilities in Europe, which its why its so important, jence NV were giving Europe premium prices. Naturally Asia got PO'ed at this and turned to NV and said "We want Europes prices", which got rebuffed by NV, so they said "Well, we'll get our chips through Creative Europe", which also got rebuffed. Eventually Asia issued an utlimatum that stated "if we don't get better pricing we'll go with ATI". So, for the 8500 and 9700 timespan Asia went with ATI, whilst Creative Europe stuck with NV. More recently Europe started selling ATI alongside NV.
Given this report appear to talk about Singapore, I would assume that they are talking about the Asia division, so that might not impact Creative Europe. I suspect that this could be a role reversal of what we saw last time - ATI keen to keep Creative Europes distribution capabilities and so they are getting better prices than Creative Asia (and so they go back to NV).
Shut up.
Wtf are you talking about?
Dont cut wires.
