- WTH ever happened to DataCenter Edition? Wasn't that supposed to be for high-performance datacenters? Guess not. Hopefully UNIX can hold onto the high-end market against Microsoft since recent predictions say the Windows Server market will grow in the years to come... Oh well, there are enough editions already. Cyranthus makes a point there.

- Good luck beating that Linux scalability.. I can't see all those big government departments converting their huge Linux clusters over to Windows any time soon!
And this isn't a troll but.. for once this is one area where Linux DOES have the upper hand, and doesn't have to play second fiddle to Microsoft Windows! -

- Windows Cluster Resource Centre
Just because Linux ("Beowulf"
Clustering receives more press doesn't mean that there's nothing going on with Windows Clustering.

- I can see it already; all the warez kiddies will be downloading this and installing it on their home desktops so they can be "high performance". (Sort of the same way putting a Type-R sticker on your Escort makes it go faster).

- Exactly! So did I. Microsoft has established that HPC = Handheld PC so I hope they choose a new acronym.

- Surely they should call it Windows Server 2005? Why give something released today a date that's 2 years old?!
