I wish installing .msi packages could be more like googling for RPM dependencies and breaking my other applications with library upgrades. I seriously need to gather up the money I need for another copy of windows because using Linux is killing me. I hate Linux, ****ing second class amature effort.

Do we need Windows Installer when there's easy to learn and powerful installation program creator like Inno Setup?

MSIs make installation for the common user so much easier.

I had to many problems with 3.0, like MSN Messenger 6.2 would not install

    because it's a beta.
how likely is it that M$ would leave something like MSN uninstallable? (that's rhetorical btw : )

Had the exact same problem. Hopefully that will not be an issue in this release.
