actually, I had given the info to him a while ago, but it took a bit to get up. Either way, who cares? We got the story, that's what matters.

Yeah... saying you downloaded a SP2 with a warez key gen isn't a good idea. I could warn you... but i'm not going too.

How does what I stated there confirm what kind of a copy I am using? Know more before you make baseless and fake assumptions.

QUOTE (#44.4)
so you are saying you have a "legal" copy and got this info from somebody else? so if i called you up and told you George W.Bush fell off bicycle for the third time, hit his head and never got up, you would go out and tell everyone:"Apparently, our president is dead."?

We have our sources. Give it up.
#7.3 vetToxicfume on 06 Aug 2004 - 20:48
I did not say that and don't even try to make an implication out of what I said, we have sources to confirm facts, so keep the funny analogies out and yes, just give up.

jerry: that really depends on what your definition of what you said is, seems rather subjective.

The way we see it here, we report and confirm on facts that have had previous speculation, and this is as appropriate as reporting any other information about the service pack. All that's being done here is confirming this: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/05/09/142203, this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/3774567.stm this: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/05/25/xp_pirates_sp2/ and so on...so please, think before accusing or saying things like that.

I am not hinting on anything or giving subliminal messages, it's a response to a subject that has recieved a big media speculation since a while.

No torrent links, no mirrors... nothing.

Only links from MS Once they release it to everyone will be permited.

I've been seeing various people complaining that what they thought was 2180 was something else.

unless they are official links, we will be removing them. That's our decision. Deal with it.

QUOTE (#121.2)
No. I already have it installed. I think you guys are going just a bit weeeeeeeee over the top on this one.

considering most of the links posted have included keygens in them or some other kind of warez, no we're not going over the top.
#14 vetbangbang023 on 07 Aug 2004 - 02:52
STOP POSTING LINKS. NEOWIN WILL NOT ALLOW ANY KIND OF LINKS.

because it's not out for the general public. Only those who have paid for msdn or who have been testing it all along.

hmmm when I check the file properties of the file I downloaded from windowsbeta, there is no signature tab. Is it because I have home edition?

It literally takes 5 minutes to call up and get re-activated. You most likely don't understand the points system behind changing hardware with XP. Either way, stop crying and spend the time calling them up.
