- Don't post links to the build or tell people where to get it

- - Handwriting, also known as ink messaging, seems to be enabled by default now without the need of any plugins. Sometimes sending an ink message returns: "Your ink message could not be delivered to all recipients." We're figuring out why this occurs.
- The Nudge icon has changed from green to yellow. The sound has become less annoying and 'alarming'.
- The little status icons appear to have changed and the Web Messenger contact list icon has returned.
- ...looking for more

- Could anybody please make a patch to remove what's hot from the emoticons section and the packs button nad all that billing information stuff from the menus?
Adding the emoticons button in handwriting view would be cool too.
Thanks

- I've just downloaded version 225.
I'm a tester also. Strange. -
#12.1 Posted by Ryan92 on 28 Oct 2004 - 15:23
- Yeah, I had that problem before. According to the test team, the download.Microsoft.com servers have not replicated MSN Messenger 7 across all of the servers yet.
Solution
1) Keep trying till you get a server with it
2) Wait till tomrrow or so when all the servers should have it

- The one thing that made me keep up with ICQ was the possibility to have different message-sounds for different contacts, I guess there's no sight of this feature in #7?
-
#21.2 Posted by ThDa on 28 Oct 2004 - 17:09
- You can use Messenger Plus! (www.msgplus.net) to associate a sound with a contact.
It is not yet compatible with MSN Messenger 7, but that will change... -

- does the other person has to have msn msnger7 for me to be able to use hand writing and for them to see? cuz right now i can switch to hand writing tab but i can't write anything! i press down my left button and dragged the mouse but all i see in blank..

QUOTE You can use Messenger Plus! (www.msgplus.net) to associate a sound with a contact.
But this is just for sign-in/out right? In icq, every contact may have a different message-sound which is really useful when you're not at the computer, to hear who's messing you and by that way be able to decide how fast to run out there versus ignore the thing...

- They havnt exactly made msn 7 private, damn you can get it from basically everywhere

- How to remove the tabs:
Place the following in a .reg file and run it, or edit the registry manually:
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftMSNMessenger]
"DisableTabs"=dword:00000001 -
#23.1 Posted by excalpius on 29 Oct 2004 - 00:51
- Or, in Messenger, you can go to tools/options/privacy and check (on) "This is a shared computer so don't display my tabs."

QUOTE "Sent" vs. "Send" when sending a nudge to an older client.
You can send nudge to older clients?
-
#25 Posted by Nightwind_Hawk on 28 Oct 2004 - 17:54
- I installed this version and half of the new features are there
my nudge icon is still green and i don't have the handwrting features. However, I do have the buttons in frameless mode and stuff.
How can I fix this?
Thanks

- Sounds your not on 0332
-
#27 Posted by madd_matt on 28 Oct 2004 - 21:35
- hum. more bloat. i think its nearing that time when i go look for a nice, clean alternative client. Hell, i use msn for TEXT MESSAGING! that means in TEXT! i would use jabber if my friends did, cause open source is cool.
