ATI Technologies has announced its latest addition to the Mobility RADEON lineup, the Mobility RADEON X800 XT, which will be the highest performance mobile graphics chip from the company and will target expensive desktop replacement notebooks for gamers and enthusiasts.

Then when on battery, just don't play, and enjoy 2-3 hours of autonomy. It's better than just not having the option.
Expensive? Probably on average $500 to $1000 more, I'm guessing. And better not being working on that laptop on your lap... unless you want a hole burnt through your leg.
