A problem with XML rendering that hindered Internet Explorer on systems with the new Netscape browser installed has been fixed.
Netscape has released version 8.0.2 of its browser, fixing an XML issue that had caused Microsoft's native browser to display XML files like RSS feeds as blank pages. According to an AOL spokesman, the problem with the XML files may have been inadvertently caused by Microsoft. Netscape programmers used documentation on IE when building the browser. It now appears that documentation was faulty.
