If you thought that the SCO vs. IBM case was on its last legs, think again. In the latest chapter of the case, Judge Dale Kimball of the U.S. Federal District Court in Salt Lake City, set Feb. 26, 2007, as the date for the jury trial.

Kimball also ruled that SCO can call IBM's chairman and CEO, Samuel Palmisano, in for deposition. This means Palmisano will have to answer questions under oath concerning IBM's use of SCO IP (intellectual property). The court found that "Mr. Palmisano could have unique personal knowledge related to the claims in this action."

Looks like they have about a year and a half to pull a case out of their ass. Should be entertaining.

Why the **** dont the call darl mcbride in for deposition? Seems to me the burden should be on HIM to provide some PROOF of why they're sueing everyone. God damned stupid ****in' legal system. Idiots.

Great. Just what I need for my 18th birthday: watching a foolish case unfold on that day.

Two years is a long time in the technology world. A lot can change in that time, so don't start celebrating just yet.

Should be MS vs. IBM, cause MS pumps money in SCO so it is MS's money

No. The article doesn't even touch the real story at hand. They are suing because IBM AIX (IBM's UNIX) is SCO property. It's too bad that IBM knows better, and has done everthing legally required to sell a product deemed "UNIX".
