Web blog 'Boing Boing' is reporting that less than 24 hours after it's release, Windows Genuine Advantage has been "cracked" by a simple javascript exploit.
AV sez, "This week, Microsoft started requiring users to verifiy their serial number before using Windows Update. This effort to force users to either buy XP or tell them where you got the illegal copy is called 'Genuine Advantage.' It was cracked within 24 hours."
We can't show you how it work's but several sites are already displaying this workaround, links below.
Update: Links removed at the request of our readership. Neowin has contacted Microsoft who is now aware of these workarounds shortly after posting, they assured me the appropriate division would be notified.
Oh and here are 2 more ways to get around it:Disable in IE7 Beta | Patch Windows; Thanks Ryan.

However I will attempt to explain, this is not warez its an exploit, one that Microsoft now has to fix, just like any other browser exploit. I don't see how we are helping guests to get hold of warezed versions of Windows because that is already after the fact.
So with that said, go fly a kite and keep your 'early Christmas present'
oh BTW I informed Microsoft as soon as I posted this, much to the dismay of my contact who is passing the information along to the appropriate division.
ITS NOT AN EXPLOIT
It's as easy as closing a taskbar... there's no hacking involved, it's straight menu selection in IE.
