Google Inc. is being sued over accusations that it overcharged advertisers who use the Web search giant's paid search advertising program, which accounts for the vast majority of Google's revenue. The proposed class-action suit, filed on August 3 in State Superior Court in Santa Clara, California, accuses Google of charging in excess of advertisers' "daily budgets," under which Google allows an advertiser to limit how much it spends each day.

Well, if a customer enters into an agreement with Google, and specifies a "daily budget", yet Google allows their system to show/charge for the ads over that amount, it sounds like Google would be responsible.

I would complain, if I were a customer and that happened to me.

that did happen to me. daily budget feature never worked for me. i usually set it to 25$ per day but it always goes over that. last time they charged me 50$.

If you look at the agreement, from what I've read, is that you may go over your daily advertising budget on a certain day, but at the end of the month it will average out to be at or below your daily budget.
Ex. Daily Budget $10 a day.
Day 1 $12
Day 2 $8
Average Day Buget: $10. They might need to add average to the line.

If this were a smaller company they wouldn't be suing, it'd just be complaining. But no! It's Google, have to sue them. The court system is abused nowadays.

No, I was preparing for someone to say what you just said. That comment is starting to get even more retarded than the ones from the fanboys.

Is it just me, or does it really seem like all of these large companies continuously get sued over little crap? Its tiring reading all of this, and worrying that someone might actually succeed at taking down an entire corporation.

How do these companies seriously stay alive? Bah.

I'm loosing some respect I used to have with Google. Now they have ads everywhere. They're behaving as a big greedy corporation. I used to love Google as it was in the beginning - simple and efficient.

Google Customizer for Firefox, no more ads.

CustomizeGoogle extension is great. Use that with Adblock and Google adverts are gone.

EDIT: Yeah, for Mozilla Firefox.

It's no less efficient with the ads. What's your point aside from a meaningless complaint?

Now, THAT was a meaningless comment/troll. Use your brain, and maybe you get there.

For those who dislike FireFox, there are other ad removal stratigies. I use proxomitron with grypen's set, which will work for any browser on a windows machine.
