I don't know about you but I'm sticking with my good ol' 7.0.0816
What other new features do you get with this then? Apart from the dynamic backgrounds....

So, seems quite boring without any Vodafone available...

Voice Clips are another feature, and are kinda cool.
Besides, there is no xtra bloat between 7.0 and 7.5, in fact, I've been using all the 7.5 betas, and I fnd them to use half the resources of 7.0, connects faster, performs better, etc. etc.
Saying you're gonna stick with an earlier version is kinda stupid, when ya know you'lll eventually be forced to upgrade. Besides, it's always best to have the latest in my opinion.

I been using 7.5.0244 beta for couple days now, connects faster and seems to run smoother for me too.

#2.2 The_Decryptor on 11 Aug 2005 - 17:01

#3 snappyfool on 11 Aug 2005 - 15:30
the page to download it from doesn't seem to load for me.
#4 OceanMotion on 11 Aug 2005 - 15:40
More pointless features probadly. Why don't they trim the whole thing down espicially the UI which is pretty bad. Still, it does all I need it to do.

7.5 does add some interesting features.

Not sure whether 7.0 did this, but 7.5 integrates with the XP Welcome Screen, to tell you how many unread Hotmail messages you have.
#8.1 Kurono on 11 Aug 2005 - 16:19
Didn't it always do that? I remember the login screen always telling me if I had unread messages ever since the earlier versions.
#8.2 ghos on 11 Aug 2005 - 21:20
Yup that's always been there, or at least for a long time.
#8.3 snappyfool on 11 Aug 2005 - 22:43
i'm pretty sure this is a feature of XP rather than windows/msn messenger and has thus been around since XP was released. it would probably work with any version of messenger that tells you how many emails you have (at least version 4?)

when they going to make it something that I can send message to my friends while they

are offline.

Yahoo and Icq has it for years.

why Micro$ucks does not such thing???
#9.1 metalguy90 on 11 Aug 2005 - 16:55
now thats a feature i have been waiting on for years now!!! ... it would be nice.... ... if ms can store contact lists on their servers... i dont see what the deal is with not being able to store instant messages either...
#9.2 net-cruizer on 11 Aug 2005 - 17:07
lol, no doubt. I can't believe MS doesn''t have offline messaging yet.
I really hate it when I spend quite some time typing a message, and then push send, only to find out that the contact went offline. Very very very annoying.
MSN Messenger 7.5, although is a hell of a lot better than previous versions, is so so so far behind in technology compared to ICQ even 8 years ago.
#9.3 icecaveman on 11 Aug 2005 - 18:01
Imagine all of your friends IM-ed you when you were off line, now you have sceduled "meeting" with someone important and when you log on your screen gets overblown with pop-ups.

Have people never heard about e-mail?
#9.4 net-cruizer on 11 Aug 2005 - 18:38
Uhhh yeah, we have heard of e-mail... a long long time ago, that's so old fashioned now.
Never used it back in the old days, don't use it now, and don't plan on using it in the future either.
I can't stand even recieving e-mail, unless it has something useful or funny attached to it.

I used ICQ for many many years, starting back somethin like 8 years ago, and I was never bombarded with popups on my screen. The messeges just don't pop up all over, lol.
Besides, reading instant messages is a hell of a lot easier and faster than reading a crap load of e-mails.

That is definitely a feature that MSN has been long overdue in providing. I often using Trillian to connect to MSN, but of course still have the offline messaging issue.
#10 azz0r_wugg on 11 Aug 2005 - 16:17
Great for vodaphone, ****e for everyone else.
#11 madnuke on 11 Aug 2005 - 16:19
Well it has been not hard to find, there was a list of download sites less than an hour after it was released.

Trillian > all.
#12.1 kussie on 11 Aug 2005 - 17:08
Yeah trillian would be good if it was entirely free instead of having this pro version.
#12.2 Jason on 11 Aug 2005 - 17:18
Trillian don't even have their own IM service so they shouldn't be charging for any version.
I could understand charging if they had their own IM infrastructure to support but they don't.
#12.3 Amodin on 11 Aug 2005 - 17:45
/shrug. I use the free version, it's plenty for me, but I understand where you are coming from as far as the additional features.
#13 phedot on 11 Aug 2005 - 17:33
Well I'm looking forward for this... I hope that Vodafone Portugal is fully supported
#14 JennEmile on 11 Aug 2005 - 18:03
