Motorola plans to enhance the reliability of its emergency services software applications by integrating them on the Microsoft platform, the companies announced Tuesday.

The effort is designed to better serve law enforcement agencies and emergency service providers by increasing the reliability of the software and allowing continuous access of data. Under the partnership, Motorola will develop applications for law enforcement agencies, emergency response services and the criminal justice system using Microsoft's .Net 2003 and Microsoft Windows Server System software.

the only stuff apple has done is a horrible version of iTunes for motorolla... To bad it was not a deal to make all their phones run windows mobile

Who do you think made/makes Apple's processors?
#2.2 Jeremy1 on 04 Oct 2005 - 20:28
IBM. But what do they have to do with this story?
#2.3 Joel on 04 Oct 2005 - 20:37
You sure they're the only ones? Really sure?

What it has to do with the story is almost nothing. But it does have to do with the other comments made here, which indicate these people are not totally aware of the relationship between Apple and Motorola while commenting on it like it's a new development.

Joel, you seem to be insinuating that you have some insider knowledge. Can you enlighten us with that knowledge?
#2.5 Zeitgeist on 04 Oct 2005 - 23:47
No insider knowledge, Motorola used to supply Apple with some chips for their desktops.
#2.6 em_te on 05 Oct 2005 - 01:12
Yes, but that was in the past. I'm getting the sense that Joel's innuendo involves some recently occurred events that have, in some way, stirred the pot of IBM. Notice his use of rhetoric and mysticism in response to Jeremy.
