In this episode Kristin and the gang at PowerUser.tv discuss how the U.S. government is planning on placing RFID chips in the passports of U.S. citizens next year. Also the team shakes a communal fist at Sony for their rootkit installation tactics, points out that Mac has some updates for OS X and then Tom and Brad give an in-depth review of Civilization 4. Lots of techy goodness in this episode!

Gee how much can you talk about civ4, you spoil the surprises. Good show otherwise.

Last episode put me to sleep. And when the sony rootkits news was posted on neowin, I was thinking "oh no, it'll be in the discussion of the next poweruser epsisodes". And sure enough, there it is. They need more interesting ideas for the show rather than reiterate news that happened last week on nw. Get some interviews, get some insider stuffs.

For the most part, I thought all the episodes are ok, but not great. But last one was boring, and I'm gonna give them another try, but doesn't seem interesting if all they talk about is sony rootkits and civ4.

The Sony rootkit is an ongoing story, not something merely reiterated. Check BPN for updates.

The lack of profesionalism in these podcasts doesn't impress me. If they want me to tune in, they should cut the stupid innane banter and stick to comenting on the news items.

Just thought I'd say haven't listened to this weeks episode yet, but I enjoy the inane banter ridiculed by the above user, so keep it up, I don't want to listen to a monotone set of voices just reading news thats no fun. Reckon it would be cool to have some more interviews and stuff though

The main reason that I listen to this is because of the inane banter. I can find boring shows anywhere, no matter how much info they have. These just make it a whole lot more fun to listen to.

Not everything needs to be pro.

I agree with Zionyx and womble68. PowaUza podcast i unique. And i love the "stupid innane banter" thats amongst the top reasons i listen to this podcast.

mayamaniac: yeh if u surf neowin like every half hr then there really is no news listening to the podcast, but i listen to it to enjoy the commentary at the news.

I guess I was misled by the "PowerUser" title of the podcast. But if it's just a podcast about silly people making silly comments, then yeah, maybe its not for me.

well this is the first ep ive listened too, and i must say i enjoyed it so much im downloading the previous 13 eps

btw, in this ep they dont know how the sony rootkit is installed, ive read it installs as soon as u insert the CD (they said it happens when u copy the music off the cd), if u disable AutoRun tho it wont be able to install itself.

Well I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been enjoying the podcasts. Another good shot IMO

By far my favorite podcast to listen to. I feel the "inane banter" is fun and ads to the enjoyment of podcast. Keep up the fine job.
