Long-time Expo goers won’t be surprised to hear it, but on Thursday IDG World Expo confirmed that Apple CEO Steve Jobs will headline the 2006 Macworld Conference & Expo with his trademark keynote address. The keynote address takes place on Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at 9:00 AM. Macworld Expo itself takes place from January 9 - 13, 2006, at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, Calif. “Steve’s keynote is always a great way to kick off the biggest Mac event of the year,” said David Korse, CEO of IDG World Expo.

Looking forward to the Intel Macs? "Biggest event of the year". And the biggest thing of 2006 is the switch, eh?

Probably not for another 6 months at least. They've updated both their mini (now nano) and normal lines
(now video) in the last couple of months. The iPod will probably be on the backbench for now as apple tries to partner with various video companies to bring more content to the iPod video.
