Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, sometimes known as the Wizard of Woz, has revealed that he is unhappy about Apple's decision to switch to Intel processors. Although Wozniak officially left Apple in 1985 he retains a keen interest in the company and is still on the payroll.

Wozniak took time out from a game of segway polo in New Zealand to tell The Globe and Mail that he is unhappy about the deal, although he understood it from an engineering point of view. "It's like consorting with the enemy. We've had this long history of saying that the enemy is the big black-hatted guys, and they kind of represent evil," he explained.

"Wozniak took time out from a game of segway polo in New Zealand..."

Upon reading this portion of the article I immediately used the back button realizing it discredited any opinion Wozniak could possibly offer.

Then how did you post that if you weren't on the page?

I spent 5K on my last road racing bike... but Segway polo?! How lazy do you have to be?

At least have ridden a Segway before you make a comment on one.

I don't own an apple either and Wozniak would not be the guy to convince me make to switch. Besides my two wheels are already faster than his so why would I need a segway?

The interviewer twisted Woz's words into something he didn't say. Check out the real story by Woz himself: http://listserver.themacintoshguy.com/pipe...ary/019302.html

Woz has always been a bit crazy, he's not as business minded as Jobs.
Quote this comment #3.1 Posted by fudgetunnel on 28 Feb 2006 - 16:45
That's because Jobs is nothing more than a glorified used car salesman with a fanatical following.

And? I bow to Jobs.

No, I'm not an Apple fanboy. He's just a good business man who knows how to make good decisions. I'd like to see anyone else be as sucessful.

That ironic, I just got back from asking my boss if I could take 20 years of paid time off. Must be nice.

Did you cofound your company? That usually helps quite a bit.

What a retarded thing to say. What is he, a 6-year old???

No wonder Apple lost the desktop wars early on. Its management was populated by imbeciles.

Licensing, licensing, licensing. At least Gates understood its value.

people, read the post on his website, HE DID NOT SAY THAT, HE DENIES IT, so before we ditch him based on what a reporter say, lets judge him on what HE says..I think it is only fair

Again one of my comments gets deleted without explanation. I didn't even get a PM or anything. Some of the Neowin mods are out of control.
