This is really good news!!!! And i heard that Dell can also run the Intel versions of OS X.

Well i guess they can have the both side of the PC world a nice hardware and a good OS.

Talking about Mac OS X on any other hardware other than hardware provided by Apple is against Neowin rules: http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=433014

I wonder if they will still have PCMCIA slots, or just the ExpressCard slots.
There's hardly anything for ExpressCards (just wish there was an adapter already).

PCMCIA is dead. I doubt many new computers will still have PCMCIA slots.

Actually, it looks like the D820 has both. Which Lenovo also did. Which is probably wise considering a lot of businesses still use PCMCIA cards.

Can't I directly attach a file here like in the forum?
I would have the complete fact-sheet for the D620!

EDIT: Ok. Go here for details.

It's still a Dell. Looks like a Dell, feels like a Dell. There's something to that cheap plastic that they use, I guess. It just doesn't feel as sturdy as, say, IBM (well, now even Lenovo) ThinkPads. With regards to PCMCIA cards - they are used nowadays more as universal card readers, and I think this is good.

The new system has a tri-metal case. It is far better than the current Dell systems in terms of build quality.

I hope the 6xx line doesn't get any bigger. I really liked the size of the D600, but the D610 (which was only slightly more powerful) was noticeably larger. I didn't mind too much because it was still manageable and seemed more solid, but if they get any larger it will defeat the purpose of the 6xx line. I would also like to see more advancement in the 4xx line. It has always been the step-child of the Latitude line (notice no update announced here). If they kept that line a little more current it would be appealing to users who travel a lot.

Actually the new 620 is now closer to the current 410! They made it a little smaller and lighter.

Nice (as I type from my Dell D410).
