According to Infoworld Microsoft's MSN search engine suffered an hours-long outage yesterday as results turned to errors.
The outage began around 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time and ended around noon, according to a spokeswoman for Microsoft. The company is still trying to determine what caused the problem.
Microsoft's search engine is still un-popular amongst the top 3, Google, Yahoo and MSN with Microsoft's offering sitting in 3rd position with 13.5 market share.
Microsoft is promising big search advances with web based searching and application searching with Windows Live and desktop searching in Windows Vista.
