- Interesting......
I'm going to guess that the 58xx tree will have stuff like the new sounds and bootscreen in, as it was implied that this stuff would be added after the last connect build was released -

hope this becomes available to rc1 testers like the last builds as a downloadable ISO. -

You won't see any public releases before it RTM's.... That's a fact. Build 5744 was the last beta/rc/cpp to be released to testers/public.

- I would suddenly feel the urge to fresh install... again. it's bittersweet isnt it?
oh, would this only be an upgrade if it's true? no full installs?

P.S. Some time ago we updated information about this build.

- Quick question. Why post the names of the files?
Could it be so that people know what to look for on other sites

- TAP builds aren't typically leaked, so I doubt it matters.

- what you didn't read? It's realeased to TAP testers so you wont be getting it. TAP is an even more exclusive set of testers.... if beta testers (all 500,000 of them) don't get it you really think they're gonna have a public release?
Vista RC2 is the last build.

What is that supposed to mean? It's illegal to post a filename also now?

Perhaps they don't want people searching for it online.. and downloading it from somewhere else...

Jim Allchin cleared up conflicting reports to eWeek by saying that Windows Vista would not make RTM this week, adding that there was still work to do "We won't RTM (release to manufacturing) in a week," Allchin told MJ Foley on October 18. "We are in pretty good shape. And there are still months before (the January 2007) launch."
These are the build stamps:
