My fault some are for Vista as well. But most are for old XP.

I think Windows Defender (which runs on Vista, XP) is updated the rest are for XP and Office

I think it's awkward that Office 2003 updates are showing up for Office 2007.
Anyone an idea?
I do have FrontPage 2003 and Project 2003 (out of the total Office 2003 suite) installed.
I have deinstalled all Word, Excel, PP and Outlook via the Control Panel.
Running now the RegCleaner....
Downloading possibly unnecessary updates is a little bit silly, but I'd rather they fixed the 100% CPU usage during update detection when you have Office 2003 installed first. Using Windows Update and Office Update independently take only a few seconds each, and none of the hotfixes from the MS KB articles have done much of anything. I'd really love to have Office updates come in automatically, but having ~3 minutes added to my system boot time is not acceptable (or in the worst case I've seen, 15 minutes on an old Celeron, where regular Windows Update was mostly disk-bound and not significantly slower than a modern system). The only real workaround I've seen is to use a multi-core CPU.

In that case it's logical, since I also have Access 2003/Publisher 2003 (from the Professional 2003 CD) and Frontpage/Project 2003 (both separate CD's installed from the Office 2003 Suite.
I'll try uninstalling Access & Publisher also, since I don't use these programs anyway. I will see next month what the 'damage' is
