Google-owned, San Bruno, California-based YouTube Incoporated has concluded the first YouTube Video Awards. The seven videos are all winners in their corresponding sections: the most creative, most inspirational, best series, best comedy, musician of the year, best commentary and most adorable user created videos of 2006. The nominees were picked by YouTube and YouTube community members were given five days to vote on their favourites. "2006 was a pioneering year for online video, user-created content and the YouTube community. You let us into your bedrooms, created new forms of entertainment, and radicalized popular culture. Now it's time to reflect on what a tremendous year it was and recognize the best of the best during the first YouTube Video Awards."

Kiwi is great, the others, except OK Go, are rather, well, meh...

Definitely agreed. Just watched them all, absolutely loved Kiwi, watched OK Go for the first time in it's entirety and must say it is impressive it was done in one take, but other than those two, meh is the way to put it.

yeah kiwi! is really cute, incase you guys didnt know the kiwi are a flightless bird native to New Zealand, so the kiwi gets to fly above the treetops before it hits the ground

Well, if that's the best of what there is to see, then I don't feel at all at a loss by despising the entire YouTube concept with a passion! For people with dull lives to sit and watch people with equally dull lives, believing that their dull lives are somehow more interesting than those with the dull lives who sit watching. (Er, I think that's right.)

Ok Go, Anime Kiwi and Song from Naomi were fine and deserve award
(nice to watch and listen and authors done serious job on)

about rest awards i think there were way better clips on YT in 2006

I believe that OK Go was increadible, and free hugs is really a nice idea. Most people here find Kiwi real good... I personally don't.
