Thanks to the simultaneous release of Windows Vista and Office 2007, Microsoft Corporation has managed a 65% profit increase in its fiscal third-quarter. The world's biggest software maker said it earned a record-high $4.93 billion, or 50 cents a share, in the period ended March 31, compared to $2.98 billion, or 29 cents a share, during the period a year earlier. Meanwhile, revenue rose to $14.4 billion from $10.9 billion. Because of the software releases, analysts surveyed by Thomson Financial projected Microsoft’s monetary numbers to be particularly high. They underestimated, however, as they expected Microsoft to earn 46 cents a share, on revenue of $13.89 billion.

when i say sharing I mean doing things like guaranting health care, giving at the least cost of living pay raises, actually rewarding people for their hard work...I don't mean that they should cut $1000 checks for every employee. there use to be a time when companies took care of their employees and rewarded loyality...just doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Microsoft has some of the best employee benefits of any employer, so I don't really see how you can justify your claim.

Indeed, MS is considered a great place to work at with high salaries and benefits as well as high quality working space
revenue is not "straight profit".

the first post said it wasn't necessarily directed at MS...you missed that, it was generally speaking about corporate profits.

Don't think he was referring to revenue. News post says 14.4 billion in revenue. 4.93 in profit.
