- Buy a quad core CPU now if that's what you want. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115017

- That's like telling an <<Intel>> Mac user to "buy a new OS now if that's what you want", and link to Windows Vista.
Choices are good, competition is good. -

Q6600 is tempting, but right now I would rather wait for it to drop in price in H2 this year and also see what AMD has up its sleeve. -

Your analogy doesn't work since you're comparing the Apple OS to something that's already commercially available (i.e Vista). AMD doesn't have a Quad available for sale yet. Intel on the other hand....

- Wow... IMO waiting till December will just give Intel a chance to offer their current Quad offerings dirt cheap by the time AMDs Quads come out.. Dissapointing to wait so long...

"Quad-core, codenamed Barcelona will launch later this summer, in the July, August kind of time frame -- followed by [Agena FX] on the desktop. That'll launch a little after the server part, it'll be called Agena. You'll see that in the Christmas line-up," stated Robert Rivet, AMD executive vice president and CFO.
