Microsoft Testing Multiple Searches on One Page

It seems Google isn’t the only one that has decided to redirect a handful of users to test a different approach to web search. Microsoft is redirecting a small number of random users who use Windows Live Search to search.imagine-live.com, a search engine that puts results from a number of Live searches on a single page. When searching for something, the user will be shown the typical results from the web as well as image results, maps results, news results, links to movie listings, weather, and so on. Hitting “view more results” or “explore more” will take the user to the corresponding search engine or web site. The site is obviously still in development as sometimes the search engine spits out an error about not being able to find anything.

About User Interface: There is a lot of white space though.
I have a 1680 horizontal resolution. There is a big blank gap between the results and the right column.
This is a problem with lots of Microsoft sites. MSNBC for example has a gigantic blank space on the right.
Microsoft.com, MSN.com has blank spaces on the left and right.

I have several complaints about Neowin's rendering (chief of them you can't use larger fonts in IE on Neowin forums pages -- CSS bug) but it trumps several other site rendering by making excellent use of space.

Ever consider running your browser at less than Full Screen?

My 24" monitors are 2048x1280 and I don't have that problem.

Nice interface...I like the multiple results. And I got results for Microsoft, but not Starcraft 2. I guess it's still heavily a work in progress
