A new review of yet another monitor. There are many displays out there to choose from and only few really appeal to gamers and workstation pimps: for gamers looks as well as performance comes into play though the workstation pimps don't mind a little trade off and will go for ultimate style to match their working envoirment. The LM19XD from Brimax has both qualities. Be sure to check out the review for our conclusion.

I guess they want more reviews on Neowin. It doesnt hurt, does it? If you dont like it, don't read it.

But his isn't a neowin articles, its offsite hosted on another server.
Now, being ON TOPIC, the Samsung 226bw is 22" WS and has a 2ms refresh. It is the first and only LCD I have found that it suitable for high speed (re: NO GHOSTING) FPS gameplay. It's only about $325 USD right now, and you can find them everywhere, so if you ARE looking for a gaming LCD, I highly recommend you add this one to your list of units to evaluate and consider.
700:1 contrast though, yeah hardly impressive, but to me bnrimax sounds like the usual "no-name" manufacturers selling 2nd/3rd sorting panels from the factories withtheir name on.
Those of us who play fast FPS games (quake 3 etc) need faster than 8 ms period. I see ghosting on 5/6 ms units, which is why I mentioned the Samsung 226bw above, since its 2 ms refresh was the first LCD I have ever used that had NO ghosting in ANY game at ANY speed. I also found it did not suffer any frame lag when compared to my CRT, so this was a winner in my book (and now, on my desk).
In part this may be due to the fact that the "ms" quoted by manufacturers might be any number of different settings, and thus may not be representative of actual realworld experience. It's a scam we should all be whining about.

Rings a bell of the same site?

How the heck did this make it to the front page?
Well, spam, actually . . . to make a . . . spam sandwich.
Anyway, it's luncheon meat all over the place.

mmm spam sandwich.
Oh, this reminds me... I have to brush up on my LCD monitor specs, as I hope to get one soon.
Sorry if it bothers some of you, or seems like spam, but trust me when I say it is not spam. And it won't be the last time you see one of his articles posted to read
A good start would be to avoid posting non-news related spam in this area.
Did you seriously think this would be acceptable???
I'm sorry, except for a few of you who are having trouble "dealing" with this, I don't see much of a problem from most of you guys at all.
So let me get this straight now, because tech-gear.org helps us in getting products for review, and we on occasion post one of their hardware reviews (whether said review is "good enough" or not) in return, this is unacceptable??? Give me a break already, frankly I find it fairly humorous that some of you are making such a big deal over this issue. It isn't even an issue - plenty of sites develop working relationships with other sites and do this sort of thing all the time.
I'm sorry, except for a few of you who are having trouble "dealing" with this, I don't see much of a problem from most of you guys at all.
Most people won't voice their opinion. That's why you should consider the few that speak out.

So the Neowin administration should lose out on a partnership that affords us some (finally) hardware to play with and review because the site we partner with doesn't agree with a small minority of Neowin's users?
For example, reviewing the Samsung 226bw for gaming would be a name brand product (that is now selling like hotcakes btw) to review. Posting spam about some off-brand, too small, "who gives a crap?" product makes you look like you are selling out.
Or something like that...
PS Don't shoot us for caring too much about your (usually) excellent work.
Edit: After reading the review, I strongly question it's integrity. It is vehemently biased and states that the average specs of the monitor are mind-blowing; and i'm not even getting started on the excruciatingly painful language used.
Trash.
Read all the other reviews lol, everything gets 5/5 and some sort of award.
the "review" is spam.
the site is a shill/pimp.
LAME
What about red, blue, green, cyan, magneta color rendering at slight vertical or horizontal angles etc. etc.
^^The obvious conclusion is that some is getting a discount for putting the story here or there are some kickbacks involved.

But yes, we are getting discounts, we are all getting Alienware PC's for $19.95 and new Corvette's for $2.99 plus tax!

j/k Don't take it seriously.
We are not saying that every review has to be, just that to deserve a front page spot it should.
Toms hardware FTW!
This is just annoying...
Great start.

Instead of the DMCA stuff, I now get:

Again, can you show me where this is?
maybe instead of putting it on mainpage, you should create a new area called reviews like what we already have:main, software, gamers, forums etc.
I have a better idea. How bout a whining review section. Then we can allocate all the whining into one area. I'm sure all the whiners would get along.

ahahahah... wow...
