Zombies invade San Fransisco Apple store

A horde of decaying zombies invaded San Francisco's downtown Apple store on Friday evening, hunting for brains, terrifying the customers, and gnawing on iMacs.

It was difficult to judge the exact number of zombies that shuffled through the city's shopping district, losing limbs, blood, and unmentionable body parts along the way, but probably at least 150 converged on Union Square. Then they decided to visit nearby businesses, including the Apple store, Nordstrom, the Disney store, and the Westfield Mall.

The event was titled "SF Zombie Mob 2007," and it was organized by the gruesome-minded folks at eatbrains.com. It's akin to a flash mob, though because the participants trek around the city after gathering, the Zombie Mob was closer in concept to the Critical Mass bicycle ride, which coincidentally was happening at the same time along the same street. In truth, it was a pretty polite affair: only passers-by who volunteered to become zombie-fied were, and no arrests took place.

It may be worth noting that the Westfield Mall and Disney security tried to bar the zombies from entering, but Apple store security did not. In fact, salespeople were jostling one another for a position where they could take the best photo of the zombies (or themselves with the zombies, or their brains being eaten by the zombies).

i basically agree with you ... cause the average joe pretty much NEEDS a windows pc otherwise they will lack a mass selection of software/compatibility with most other peoples pc's they know etc.

but u could argue both ways i guess... cause the apple guys could preach on and on about how many security problems are on windows which they would have a good point.... but i guess thats the tradeoff for functionality/big software selection etc.

----------------

but anyways about the topic... i dont like people who do this crap... aint they got anything better to do then mess with people? ... i dont think messing with other people in this manner as entertainment/funny but alot of people seem to like it... im 100percent against this crap myself (atleast the messing with other peoples property/and people who dont want to be messed with) .... cause look at it this way, what would u do if this happened to you?... dont tell me you would think it's funny cause after a while it would P**s you off if there messing with your property and possibly scaring off customers etc etc. ... i was looking at pics above... doing crap in the street aint to bad i guess since they dont appear to be messing with people that dont want to be messed with... but still, overall they look like a bunch of retards.

and like i said before... aint they got something better to do?

I hope that you don't actually hold the position that unless you run Windows, you will be incompatible with the rest of the connected computing world.

Oh noes!!! Us Linux users, and those Apple users can't possible watch online movie clips, listen to music, browse the web and send/receive email with Word and Excel attachments.

Actually I had once seen an ad of someone selling their PC because they said that they were too stupid to use it and that they were going to buy a Mac instead.

Mac has had more security holes than MS within the past 6 months.....Apple Inc. likes to be quiet about it. MS can't.

I like how they took this and made the Apple store look like it's really cool because Disney wouldn't let them in. Hmmmm, one place that sells computer related products and another place is a park filled with YOUNG CHILDREN that might be scared to death by seeing something like that. Trying to use this to make Disney look bad
