It is very unusual for Microsoft that there hasn't been a leak yet, if we are to believe Gizmodo's story that Microsoft will announce a new product at 12:01am EST. The new hardware is supposed to come from the division of Microsoft that launched the Xbox and the Zune. It's "something totally new coming out of the Entertainment and Devices division, and it's going to change the way people interact with technology," according to an e-mail Gizmodo received mistakenly through “official channels”.
Mary Jo Foley is speculating that Microsoft’s “Milan” multi-touch and gestural interface technology is going to be put to use. Milan, the technology previously known as “PlayTable,” and, later, “Table,” allows users to navigate and manipulate data inside a browser or application using gestures. Currently, the Milan Project sits in Microsoft’s Mobile and Entertainment Division, which may be a hint that Microsoft might incorporate the Milan multi-touch capability into Zunes, Windows Mobile phones, Tablet PCs or Ultra-Mobile Personal Computers.

Nah, my bet is for a Zunephone or a mobile gaming device.
LOL...this is funny but somehow it does feel like this is where we are going
I'm just wondering how there's no info about it.
It seems that everything microsoft does gets leaked out at least half a year before release
Um... keyboard (which I am sure the somehow reduced the usability of).
But the screen is touch and pressure sensitive which is achieved through quite a few sensors. Its not even the computer, the hardware to make multi-touch even work is pretty sophisticated as it is....
This is such an anticlimactic event already, lol. Nearly everyone on this thread is about to fall asleep.

Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Mail and Windows Live Writer are the three core desktop products for Windows Live
But we have reason to suspect they’ll all be rebranded to one, large program - called “Windows Live Suite”.
Here are the reasons why we think it’ll happen…
1 -- All three programs are communication tools (IM, Blogs, e-Mail)
2 -- All three programs are being revamped to a new look (see Messenger 8.5)
3 -- All three programs are listed as one beta on Microsoft connect.
Perhaps we’re trying a wee bit too hard, but if this turns out to be the truth then either….
1. The consistency between products will create a usefull and effective solution for everybody….or, more likely…
2. It’ll create a mega-bloat product with more things to go wrong.
Either way, it looks like this could be a very interesting few months for Windows Live.

This has been in the talks on & off for a while, so much for waiting up till midnight. You never know, it might be mind blowing.
Have one on me.
But then again, I might be breaking the law by contributing to a minor.
