- Does anyone even buy Asus' over priced video cards? I always see them going for an extra 100$, if not more, than other brands.
What we need to see, is some HD 2600 and HD 2400 benchmarks.. and prices. Lets hope AMD.ATI doesn't drop the ball, AMD.ATI is in a prime position to take the mid-range crown. Competition is my friend

I have an Asus 9600XT, pretty old, but it didn't cost alot when I bought it. Either way, the HD 2900XT is kinda meh at this point, the drivers don't seem good at all, but that aside, it's pretty hot.
Best thing is to go with the 2400 or 2600s since those are on the newer 65nm dies. Not top of the line, but they should give you enough performence for any game coming out this year. Personally, I'm waiting for the R650 cards to be released.

- The benchmarks for the Lost Planet Demo are better this time around.

- I am amazed! Just a few more driver tweaks and it falls silently betwwn GTX and GTS. i mean wow! it;s performance was poor when it came out 15 days ago. But look at it now! In some games it even tops GTX , WOW. I love it,. There are two problems with it.
1- HOT HOT
2- Need more then decent power supply to run it properly
Now i am waiting for 2600 HD, if it shows the same signs as 2900HD showed, i will buy it in an instant...

Today we have in our hands a Radeon HD 2900XT board, which is of course based on the R600 core using an 80nm design process. This version features just 512MB of onboard GDDR3 memory clocked at 1656MHz using a 512-bit wide memory bus. Combined with a core clock of 757MHz, the Radeon HD 2900XT can theoretically produce a memory bandwidth of 102.4GB/s, which is greater than that of the GeForce 8800 GTX.
