Microsoft Announce WebGuide To Be Released Free

Microsoft has announced that together with Doug Berrett it is making WebGuide available to all for free.

WebGuide is a 3rd party plug-in that allows Windows Media Center users to view live and recorded TV, schedule and manage recorded television programs, and access music, pictures and videos remotely from any Web browser. WebGuide has also added support for mobile streaming to its list of features.

If you haven't installed this application and you're using Media Center 2005 or Vista with Media Center then check this out today especially now it's free

Too bad I can't use this, as ATI All-In-Wonder cards still don't have TV/Capture under Vista.

this great software. you can use it with the sidebar gadget to watch tv at work from your home medai centre. you can also use with laptops, pda etc its great. I am glad he has got something out this project and it benefits users of mce as well

Haven't tried it yet, but does this compete with the snapstream.net features of snapstreams beyond tv? If so, then I think BTV just bit the bust considering it doesn't work right on vista.

this truely is a good day for everyone. the software is excellent and i cant wait to install it on my new vista mce. I just hope he gets to make alot of input into MC software.

I still trying to decide if I should upgrade my Vista Business to Ultimate because I need to record a lot of shows because of school or bump down back to XP and use ATI's MMC or WatchHDTV (free) with my HDTV Wonder. The HDTV Wonder works in Vista (only DTV) but im also thinking of another HDTV tuner card or get a dual card.
