Consumers tune into HD streaming video

Move Networks, a provider of digital media publishing and delivery services, claims that it is currently capturing more than 100,000 new unique streaming video viewers every day, supporting an average viewing time of more than 50 minutes per session, and that more than 20 million unique viewers had used its network to watch near-HD or HD video content online. "Today's publishers want to grab the attention of viewers and our statistics demonstrate that high quality video will garner the attention the publishers are seeking," said John Edwards, chief executive at Move Networks. He added that viewers watched more than 15 million hours of Move-enabled near-HD or HD premium video content online in October.

Those videos aren't as clear as stage6 videos... Only stage6 can do real full screen not full-window screen...

So how much bandwidth are we talking about for streaming HD video?

The top-end package my ISP now offers is capped at 60GB/month. If you want "unlimited", you pay an extra $25/month (on top of your regular bill). I put "unlimited" between quotes because it still is limited--they just don't tell you until you go over some magic number of their own chosing and start throttling your bandwidth without telling you.

So after a week of using this service, you've blown over your cap, after which you get throttled so badly that streaming stutters constantly for the rest of the month?
