New York (NY) - Open minded people are more likely to purchase a Mac, according to a new survey released by Mindset Media. The company interviewed 7500 people and found that liberal thinkers were 60 percent more likely to buy a Mac. These same people were also less modest and more sure of their own superiority than the rest of the population.
Mindset Media places these "enlightened" people into a category called "Opennes 5's" folks. People in that category are also more "receptive to their own inner feelings and may feel both happiness and unhappiness more intensely than others."

Sarah Welch, COO and co-founder of Mindset Media, said, "For the first time, marketers with brands that have distinctive Mindset Profiles, like Apple, can directly reach the people with the personality and attitudes that love what they sell." Mindset Media isn't disclosing the methodology used in the survey, so PC owners may still have a chance. Maybe I should plunk down $3,000+ for one of those new Macbook Airs and get in touch with my inner self.

Uhm, people who buy expensive art paintings for ludicrous amounts of money are usually more sure of their own superiority than the rest of the population as well, and are also the minority of the population which places Apple in the correct light as well as market.
To say they are any better as a person (as the article implies) is incorrect, in my opinion people who buy Apple hardware generally feel they are buying into an art rather than a productivity item. This excludes graphic designers of course (who have used Macintosh for years -before the iWhatever rage).
Thank you for the clarification. I was about to pounce with productivity studies showing productivity increases for those people using Macs.

No, I will stay with my old Windows XP, with my new Mac, with Solaris/FreeBSD ir Ubuntu, because I like how they work and how I feel working with them. And say whatever you want, I won't buy new PC just to run new OS. Only after 4-5 years.

I did.. and.. yeah. "dealing with PC problems..." SO.... what now? I don't get it.
There are less problems, aka viruses, on a Mac, and generally less bugs because drivers for a Mac are much better than drivers for a PC (and drivers are the main cause of a problem on a PC).
most people buy mac's because they are artists and graphic designers, thus they have to be very open-minded to do their job
