Microsoft acquires trueSpace creator Caligari

The Virtual Earth team has grown once again with the acquisition of Caligari Corporation, a small company that has been pioneering 3D modeling and animation since it was founded in 1986. In 1994, Caligari released the famous trueSpace, a powerful 3D graphics and animation package (originally for Amiga and now for Windows). Caligari CEO Roman Ormandy, the man who heads the team that is based in California and Slovakia, has brought trueSpace through many releases over its 20-year history.

Wow I almost forgot about TrueSpace... use to use that in the mid-late 90's... was a nice program for its price

Truespace was good for manipulate object and camera but too hard to sculpt a 3d shape.
