AMD representatives already announced in mid January that Barcelona processors with B3 core stepping should start sampling this quarter. According to CNET.com referring to recent AMD officials’ statements, the company started sampling Barcelona processors based on B3 core stepping to its server partners last week.

Server Barcelona processors with new K10 micro-architecture didn’t really get widely spread yet because of the notorious “TLB bug” that resulted in stability loss in case all four processor cores were loaded heavily. I forgot AMD was still around. They need to get something going soon or 2008 will be their last year.

The graphics portion of AMD seems to be picking up. Things will turn around for AMD. Have faith.

Maybe one day they will release the Phenom FX. I have been waiting on that thing for ages, and it seems that AMD has gone silent on it.

The only thing that will survive is going to be the ATI products, AMD is dying slowly.
