The Chinese government blocked access to YouTube on Sunday after videos of the protests in Tibet were posted on the video sharing site. The whole website was blocked, not just specific videos as happened recently in Pakistan.

The site today, from London, has almost as many videos opposing the Tibetan demonstrators as it does opposing the Chinese government. One titled "Tibet WAS, IS and ALWAYS WILL BE a part of CHINA" is among the most viewed today.

I'll bet if the rest of the world blocked them, they wouldn't care as much. Then again, the west does have the habit of thinking that everyone HAS to have their ideology or they're inferior.

It amazes me that in this day and age that any country thinks that they can stop information or the free exchange of thoughts and ideas. We're in 2008 and China is a Superpower, yet they are still thinking like people are riding horses, and use catapults. Think that by using "power" that they think they have eventually will fall. The cat has been let out of the bag and it's not gonna go back in.

There is nothing special about this article because youtube is always being "firewalled" in China, and people in China have their ways to by-pass the "firewall".
