Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 Review

In four words, Microsoft describes their latest desktop mouse as comfortable, wireless, rechargeable, and extraordinary. Has Microsoft ever been wrong?

Even the editors at ExtremeTech who prefer the horsepower of gaming mice couldn't help but humble themselves and like this desktop rodent. They attribute much of the 7000's success to its comfortable design and long feature set (buttons, software hacks, etc.). Sadly, the mouse is for righties only, so southpaws will still have to stick with their symmetrical mouse in the meantime.

2.4ghz receiver.... wont that cause interference with wireless routers?
in any event, for $70 id rather buy a logitech product. i have had so many awesome experiences with logitech that i don't buy anything else anymore. got a problem? call em up and they send out a new device after brief troubleshooting, and they dont even want the old stuff back "just write down the serial numbers and throw it in the trash." They even let me pay the difference of $30 on a broken G5 mouse and sent me a brand new G7. i love those guys....

Microsoft does the same thing. I had an Intellimouse Optical that the cord went bad in. I called the number on the bottom of it and they sent me a new one within a few days. I still have the broken one sitting in a drawer.

Must be a new policy because my cord messed up and they didn't offer any support. Tossed it, went with Micro Innovations for awhile and ended with a Logitech.
