Nvidia to launch new mid-range G92-based GeForce 9 GPU

Nvidia is planning to launch the GeForce 9600 GSO GPU in May to compete with AMD's Radeon HD 3830, according to sources at graphics card makers. The GeForce 9600 GSO will based on the company's G92 GPU and will target the mid-range graphics card market. Card makers are expecting to pay Nvidia around US$50-55 for the chip.

$50-55 is the price to the Card Manufacturer, expect retail prices to be around double to triple this. At least that's how I'm reading it.

This is nothing special, its just simply a rebrand of the 8800GS card that was released a couple of months back...
