- When eBay acquired Skype, the auction company envisioned sellers and buyers on its popular auction site calling each other over Skype.
I can definitely see this working, seeing as eBay is still alive and kicking. Wonder what happened

- Am... If I remember correctly, it's 2.95 euro for Europe countries. The prices is really amazing, the only problem is that most of the people use mobile phones, not landlines.

lol. don't call me either! Skype is all hype. I use TrinitiComm (www.triniticomm.com) and they are the bomb! their unlimited international calling plans and phone service is crushing skype and vonage imho. they have true voip phone service with ata's, softphones and all. their price is much better too for all you get. go with them and you won't have to worry about them snooping in your conversations and personal life like Skype and magicJack for 'advertising purposes only'. yeah right. we knew with prices so low it costs users something. my privacy is priceless.

Skype has continued to thrive and grow with more than 309 million global subscribers using the system for VoIP phone calls, instant messages, and now video calls. Skype built its success on undercutting the prices of established telecom providers, and the VoIP business is continuing that policy with the $9.95 plan it announced Monday along with a variety of other calling plans among 34 countries. The plans cover most European countries, North America, and many Asian countries. For U.S. subscribers, a $5.95-a-month plan covers all of North America as well as major Mexican cities. Skype currently offers a $3-a-month plan for North American calls.
