Windows Live for Windows Mobile is now available to download for your Windows Mobile phone. Windows Live for Windows Mobile lets Windows Mobile users sync their email from Windows Live Hotmail as well as their Windows Live Contacts.

Just download the .cab file for the version of Windows Mobile you are running (Standard or Professional). Windows Live for Windows Mobile works on phones running both Windows Mobile and Windows Mobile 6 (and 6.1).

Windows Live for Windows Mobile however does not come with a Windows Live Messenger client for your Windows Mobile phone. We've chosen to do this to support carrier's plans for IM services for their phones. If there is no IM client on your phone, you can try our browser based version of Windows Live Messenger to chat with friends or ask your carrier about IM options for your phone.

Don't suppose you have a link to xda do you? my employer likes to block 98% of the internet so i'll hit it direct with my phone, but navigating forums is a nightmare in ie mobile

Messenger not included? No, of course not. That would certainly p!ss off the carriers that route every IM message via SMS so that it costs customers a dime per message if they don't have a text plan.

Screenshots?

Also would be nice if it had calendar sync.

No messenger? But the Symbian version has it, what's the difference?

Dang, this thing made me go through a horrible ordeal with my contacts. I had 455 contacts, and I installed this, and I got like 100 dups, so I started deleting the dups, and ultimately, Windows Live was deleting them both. I did an export of my contacts in Windows Live Hotmail, and was able to get 450 of them. I then deleted all my contacts everywhere, Windows Live Mail, Outlook, the phone, and tried to import the contacts file. I got an error and only like 100 of them went in. I cleared them out again and started splitting the file in 50 contacts each. 3 of the 9 did not load. So then I started splitting in file in half, and the half that didn't work in another half, and so on. One of the 3 original files got all the way down to one contact, which said "Invalid Windows Live ID", so I removed it from the file, imported, and added it back manually.

Now all is good, I really like the push email and contact sync feature, but dang Microsoft, don't mess with people's contacts.

Oh yeah, I just realized that it rearranged the emails, so now some work emails are under personal, and personal emails are under work. Way to go!
