Facebook today released a new, cleaner and simpler design, along with the opportunity for users to preview and test the next-generation features and functionality. The company is inviting people to use the new design and try out the improved features by navigating back and forth between the new and current versions of the site. Access to the new design will be limited at first and gradually become available to all of Facebook's more than 80 million users over the coming days. The company has been developing the new design since early this year. Over the past six months, more than 100,000 Facebook users offered constructive suggestions on the layout and features, many of which were included in the final version."We've made the changes rolling out today in order to highlight the most recent and relevant information that users value, give users even more control and ownership over their profiles and simplify the user experience," said Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. "Facebook's new design makes it a lot easier for users to share information, and we encourage them to check it out."

nope nothing yet, still the old one
LOL!
kinda has that neowin touch to it.

Because of that narrow band on the top?
I hope they do something about it, otherwise I think there will be a big backlash. Would hate to see such a useful site fall off the radar because of a bad design choice.
Even putting mini-feed preferences all the way down, I just want a way to stop all that junk!

Furthermore accessing it today at Uni in IE7 gave me a prompt that my browser wasn't supported and to try something different including...Internet Explorer. Argh. Navigating past this page everything worked fine.
It seems a bit of a mess atm to be honest. It's ok but not brilliant. Also not thrilled I can't use my gridview app on the main page. Not a fan of apps generally but it's the one that I did really like personally.
ohh and I can't see any way yet to get rid of those yellow hint boxes. It's pretty self explanatory what things do so why have those "hints" all over the place. If they feel a user needs hints to help them navigate the site then perhaps the navigation is an issue as it should be rather self navigating.
This isn't going down well with me.
Anyways, I think it's supposed to be a beta and that's why there's still problems. For example, some times links won't open for me unless I use a new tab.

It never changed and they didn't listen to a single comment or email from Facebook users. It is one of the most fascist websites. I don't care if you want to revamp your website look, that's fine. But don't pretend like you care about user input.
