Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer must be tired of seeing the “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” ads from Apple that portray PC as a fat, middle aged, balding person. They’ve brought out a big gun to combat this pop culture phenomenon of an ad though: his name is Jerry Seinfeld.Microsoft really are serious about finally burying the cool Mac guy and the dopey PC guy ads. Hiring Jerry Seinfeld to do their latest commercial is said to have set the Redmond, Washington, based company back a hefty US$300 million the Wall Street Journal reports. Seinfeld will be one of the key personalities involved and will appear next to Bill Gates in the ads.

Will be interesting to see what they do with him.
And their advertising concept?
LOL. That's hilarious! I was thinking aggravated glue sniffing.
They really must be running out of ways to spend money.
They should have a ad parody of Mac Vs PC where the Server 2008 robot knocks Macs head off
lol
Thats gold jerry! Gold!!!
The mac vs. pc commercials told many truths but spending 300 million just to get back at them or because they feel mac is now a threat is money wasted and should be put into the development of windows 7.
Mac will never be a threat to the desktop (just like linux ) and Gates and co. do a fine enough of a job embarrassing themselves.

Yea, I guess that 150+ million copies of Vista SOLD is a real failure (input sarcasm here). All the Mac vs PC commercials told was how childish Apple has to get and how low they had to stoop to increase sales. Not to mention they portrayed PC users BADLY not just Microsoft but every one who uses Windows. Look how cool and laid back the Mac guy was while the PC guy looked like a dumbass. Microsoft doesnt have to stoop to Apples levels to do well.
Time to trade my iPod for a Zune....

"More than one in every three new PCs is downgraded from Windows Vista to Windows XP, either at the factory or by the buyer, said performance and metrics researcher Devil Mountain Software, which operates a community-based testing network. 'The 35% is only an estimate, but it shows a trend within our own user base,' Craig Barth, the company's CTO, said. 'People are taking advantage of Vista's downgrade rights.' Last year, Devil Mountain benchmarked Vista and XP performance using other performance-testing tools and concluded that XP was much faster. Barth said things haven't changed since then. 'Everything I've seen clearly shows me that Vista is an OS that should never have left the barn.'
If you feel my claims are in error then certainly you have had all the opportunity you would ever need to refute them, so why didn't/couldn't you?
Then who is going to portray Steve Jobs/Mac - the soup Nazi?

A rotten tomato or some other offensive inanimate object would work...
But yeah, it'll be nice to see some creative comedy that targets those damn mac fanboys............................................"not that there's anything wrong with that!" (Lol, I had to say it)
What can I say.. they know their target demographic.
