Gigabyte Technology has decided to merge its motherboard and graphics card sales subsidiary, Gigabyte United, into the parent company with the official execution date set for October 1 this year.

Gigabyte Technology pointed out that after the merger its motherboard and graphics card business will remain independent in its operations, but operating cost will be reduced due to simplified production and sales processes. Since Gigabyte United is a wholly-owned subsidiary, the parent company will not need to claim any losses or profit.

I've had good luck with Gigabyte mobos and video boards, this is good news if it makes them stronger in the market place.

Slow news day?

And if this wasn't reported, I can see people saying "!! why wasn't I informed of this earlier?" I can only assume that your day must be as boring as mine at the moment, to actually go out of your way and ask if it was a slow news day. Me, on the other hand, I find it's easier to procrastinate when you have nothing to say at all.
