Why not sign up for the Connect Beta and tell them yourself?
0sm3l - 17 September 2008 - 14:54
Actually... There's no where to sign up on connect.
+xiphi - 17 September 2008 - 15:10
Guess they removed it. *shrugs*

All i need now is Apatch or Messpatch and this release is perfect.
Michael1406 - 18 September 2008 - 08:48
+1...except I won't even try it until I can patch it to get rid of the garbage. Do they still have winks in WLM versions? It's been so long since I've seen one I honestly don't know if it's just the patch settings I use or if MS ditched them.

I like the little pop up box when you hover over a contact.
Just need apatch and this will be good to go
Asskicker - 17 September 2008 - 15:25
Yup, APatch is what I need.
Really like the new version!

Server 2008 x64... "The Windows Live programs you've chosen can only be installed on Windows Vista or Windows XP operating systems". Poop.

Compatibility mode?
NXTwoThou - 17 September 2008 - 16:27
Nope, tried that.
Since its not an MSI, I couldn't use the Orca trick to change its requirements.
Extracting the _all.exe just gives me the .msi for movie maker, but the only live program I use is Messenger.

See the "Update:" at the end of the post.
Or use this setup file that I've tweaked according to the blog's instructions. (it has no OS check)

But unfortunately gives a *** TBD: Installer package was not signed *** error message and won't continue.
Just in case the file was corrupted, I downloaded a fresh copy and followed the instructions and got an identical error message while trying to run.
I'm trying to find out where I can turn off the signed check(I assume its in Local Security Policy somewhere)

A-Patch isnt out yet it seems.
Does anyone know how to change the contact list's color? I can't see the brush icon.

Top right corner peels back when you hover over it
