Today Intel's next-generation Core i7 shipped. The new 64-bit CPU includes 4 cores, each with 2 threads, brings the memory controller onto the die and significantly increases performance over Intel's existing CPU line.

Dell Computer took the news with the launch of the new Dell XPS 730X that now comes standard with 64-bit Vista and up to 6GB of memory.
