It's been known for years that the iPhone is extremely popular in Japan. However, one very avid Apple fan, decided to show his love for the iPhone and Apple in a different way.

An owner of a Fuji apple orchard printed up custom stickers of iPhones and the Apple logo. He then put the stickers on his Fuji apples while they were still young and on the trees.

A month later after the apples had matured, he removed the stickers. As you can see the lack of sun reaching the apple cause them to keep the stickers original design.

Clever. Ready to sell at a nice markup.

If anyone pays more for an apple with a Apple logo, then its a waste of money. You cannot keep the apple for a long time since it decomposes so all you can do with it is eat it. Neat idea tho, but most people wont pay extra money for an apple with a Apple logo...especially the way the economy is going...

Also, wouldnt Apple have an issue with someone using their logo to profit?

well im sure they wont make much money from that...but at the worst its just free publicity isnt it? im sure they wont mind too much with that...

People pay more for Apple-branded PCs, Apple-branded mp3 players and Apple-branded cell phones, so why wouldn't they pay more for Apple-branded apples?

True, but it may be an issue with Apple to have their logo on non Apple products. Plus, if the Fuji apply grower has a bad batch of apples and a bunch of people get sick, then they will associate Fuji with Apple.

Yes. Apple could sue this person because he is using their logo for profit. The only way it would be legal is if he gave away the apples.

Wallpaper request.

Though all you really need to do is expand the white to cover a hi-res canvas.

Next up:

Someone places an Apple sticker on their chest or back and gets a suntan over the course of a summer. Then they take it off afterwards. Free Apple tattoo!

I'm pretty sure it is a mistake, the iphone is not selling well (in fact poorly) in Japan.

Interesting , checking the Internet... most claim it sells bad, some claim it is doing good.

why would I want to buy an apple with a bite in it?
